Offered a Daytona, no purchase history
Was out getting lunch, noticed a new AD next door. Walked in, was rudely cut off before I could say much.
Me: "Hi! I'm looking for a GMT BLNR with..." AD: "Nope, sorry we don't have those. We'll put you on our waitlist if you wish but the line is long and distinguished." Me: "Never mind, I didn't want to buy anything today anyway" AD: "We do have a White SS Daytona if you're interested though" Me: "No thanks, we don't have a relationship - I don't know you from a hole in the wall!" I'm never going back there. Sheesh! |

I actually was offered Daytona, gmt, OP, DD, DJ, Milgauss all without purchase history. No April fools and this was in the last 2 years. Ended up getting an OP and a BLNR and looking at picking up some more.
Sometimes it’s just luck or the AD wanting to help you out over the next guy. I’m a good customer. I tell them what I want, I’m specific, and I buy on the spot when it’s offered. I’m easy and a pleasure to do business with.
