New, budget-friendly, release slipped through cracks
Happened to see this today, which seems to have gotten lost with all of the W&W (and similarly timed) releases, but far more budget-friendly:
https://www.bulova.com/us/en/product...html?cgid=mens I like this better than the original, as it's 1mm smaller and the bezel is cooler. |

This board has gotten way higher end over the years, for sure. With $10K feeling like an after thought. I like that dial and I like that some more affordable pieces are being posted

And I didn't want to refer to the watch as "cheap" since the majority of the watch-wearing world probably considers a $450 piece anything but, and I think it's insulting to refer to it that way. |

I’d spend another $450 and get a Hamilton khaki. Something just seems off on the bulova.

Size. Wish Hamilton still offered the 34mm Khaki auto. I prefer smaller pieces and prefer them dateless. Until this year, with the new titanium, that was only available on the manually wound Kahkis. Maybe it's the dial/strap combo that seems off?

I used to collect Bulova's lower-tier brand Caravelle. Those were some cool watches. I still have a couple. Remember when you and I and a few others here got into Dan Henry for a while? I still have those, too

My Dan Henry diver was a nice looking watch for $250. I’m getting so old I can do “remember when” stories now, telling all the kids how a man used to be able to get a nice watch for 250 bucks.

And if the rest of the Hack line is any indication, this one will soon be found for 50% off, at which point, perhaps it'll end up in my collection.

Ok, I figured it out, I think: 37mm case diameter with 18mm lug width. Given the reaction the new Explorer, with 36mm diameter tapering to 19mm lugs, got, I can see why this one might seem "off" at first glance.
