Jubilee authenticity
Hi all, can anyone give some feedback as to the authenticity of this 8386 jubilee from a 16018? I know on the two tones, the gold loops should have thicker corners for wear and longevity, aftermarket bracelets usually don’t. I’m not too sure on an all gold bracelets. I would think they would be the same. Thoughts??

My TT jubilee has the thicker corners. Can't speak to the all gold, however you would think it would also.

I think for a gold jubilee it looks a bit thin, I had a look on my steel jubilee and the links look as thin as yours, but I don’t have any gold in them.

Could it be possible that since the bracelets were made by different companies that they differ? How do the stamps on the clasp look to you all?

It looks like one of those Italian jobs where you send a repair shop a gold bracelet for stretch repair, and instead of a repair, they replace the bracelet sections with aftermarket bracelet sections and re-attach the clasp and end links. And once returned, hopefully the customer isn't any wiser.

It seems the whole bracelet is like this. If there were different sections, the answer would be much clearer. For more watches, follow me at https://instagram.com/BayAreaTimeCollector |
