If you had to choose between the two

Datejust 41 white dial roman numerals or Cartier Santos large white dial roman numeral

I’m sure I’ll be in the minority but I’d go with the Cartier only because I’m not a big smooth bezel Rolex fan (Platinum DD excluded). Plus I think the square shape and the blue hands make the Cartier the more interesting of the two. Also, you can buy the Cartier tonight for MSRP or less, the DJ not so much.

Definitely the DJ . Not because I’m a Rolex or nothing guy but I just don’t like the Cartier aesthetic.

The Santos easily for me with that comparison and the Blue dial is also spectacular.

I love how thin and comfortable it is as well.

Within the family we have Rolex and the Santos. The Cartier Santos is a great watch that is worn daily and has its own iconic look. I vote for the Santos here!

If the medium Santos, definitely that one. For these two, probably the Santos, but would need to see how they fit on the wrist.

For the DJ, I would like to see either the bezel be fluted or the jubilee (or both).

If I'm going to have only 1 watch, then the DJ. If it's in a medium to large size collection, I would get the Santos.

I’m biased.

I have the DJ 41 in that combination.

One of my favourites.

id go with the dj but choose the white dial with lumed stick hour markers to make it even sportier. Personally think thats the best way to configure a dj for an everyday wear

You should add important feature that Santos has quick bracelet removal feature and switching to strap & bracelet is like 5 seconds task. That makes it extremely versatile piece!

DJ, not a fan of Cartier's design language. Also, I tried a few at the boutique, meh.
