Got a new adventure watch! (Tudor Black Bay Pro)

I picked up a new Tudor Black Bay Pro on Good Friday as my new "adventure" watch.

A little backstory...for the last 10 years whenever I've gone on any type of adventure I have worn my trusty Casio Pathfinder (PAW-1200T). I've worn it:
  • Summitting Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
  • Summitting Mt Rainier in Washington
  • Summitting Mt Elbrus in Russia
  • Summitting Mt Aconcagua in Argentina
  • Summitting the Grand Teton in Wyoming
  • Basic mountaineering in Antarctica
  • Canyoneering in Maui
  • Hiking and fishing in Alaska
  • Walking with lions in Zimbabwe
  • Snorkeling with manta rays on the Big Island of Hawaii
  • Scuba diving on Oahu
  • Hiking hundreds of trails on Oahu
  • Ice climbing in Iceland
  • Snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure in Iceland
  • Running with the Bulls in Pamplona
  • Hiking Mt Huashan in China
  • Hiking in Norway
  • Hiking in Patagonia

Anyway, that's just off the top of my head but you get the idea. There are other adventures but I don't want to bore you with a gigantic list (and my apologies if I already have ).

My wife and I (newly married in May 2021) are expecting a son in August and I wanted to get a watch that I could wear on adventures with him and give to him when he's older. I've always loved the Rolex Explorer II but I have slim wrists (6.25") and it wears slightly big (though I could probably pull it off if I had to since I've worn that bulky Pathfinder). But when the BBPro was announced, I knew that it would be a worthy candidate to get in place of a larger Explorer II. I didn't consider getting a 5-digit Explorer II because I also wanted a birth year watch for my son. I'm hoping to make lots of memories with him and the watch.

Apologies for the poor picture quality but what is a thread without pictures? The BBPro picture is from earlier today but the Pathfinder picture was taken a couple years ago. It's still going strong but won't be worn as much in the future thanks to the Tudor.

I’m waiting for my Pro in the exact same configuration.

And perhaps my own adventure, grats to you!

Congratulations. The tudor pro looks amazing on you. Also, thank you for sharing your list of adventures. It’s quite inspiring for me as I have never been to any of the places on the list. Perhaps it’s time for me take action and go on an adventure.

Congratulations on your expected lil one and your watch! The bb pro is a great looking watch! I’m a mountaineer too and wear my trusty 16570 on most my adventures.
If you have it laying around I’d love to see another pic of that pathfinder.

Congratulations. I handled the watch on the NATO at my AD and liked it. I am waiting to check it out on the rubber strap and see if it works for me. If it does I will make the purchase.

Great choice of adventure watch. I think the BB Pro is just perfect. Rugged, handsome and has the second time zone. I think it’s one that will look great all beaten up.

Congrats on a great birth-year pic up.

Be sure to update this thread with some pics after a few more adventures!
