Considering a BB58 Blue, offered a 10% discount

Considering a BB58 Blue. Have been offered a 10% discount by an AD if I buy tomorrow. Currently own a 116500 + BLNR, waiting on a BLRO, but looking for something a little more discreet as a bit of a beater. Any opinions on the watch, either way? It’s a lovely size and colour.

If you like it and can get a discount isn’t it a no-brainer

Nice watch with a retro vibe

Go for it

I think it's a nice watch, but I personally have passed on it twice (once on a strap, that was available at the AD, and a second time -- same AD called me to tell me that it was available on bracelet). I feel that it would not get wrist time based on my current collection.

If you think it will get wrist time based on your collection -- picking it to wear over the Daytona or the Batman -- then go for it. The value proposition is there and it is a good watch.

I’d def pick it up. bb58 is insane value for its price point. I look at it like a vintage sub except better build quality. Unless one needs Rolex on their dial it is a no brainer.

You don't have a diver. And if you want a beater diver for cheap, the BB58 is the best option. Only question is blue or black? No brainer otherwise

I think the only thing in my head over it as that “it’s not a sub”. Which I completely agree is ridiculous and entitled before anybody comments similar.

I think the BB58 in blue is a great looker! Buy what you like, especially with a rare 10% discount. Rolex and Tudor have the same basic DNA imho. Good luck in your decision. Look forward to your wrist pics if you buy. Cheers!

Ask for 20%, if not, pass. Since you are not totally into it.

But is that because you like the BB58 more? Or because you want to maintain the condition of the 5 digit Sub? Genuinely curious.

I ask because I have a Tudor Sub (79090) and BB58. I wear the BB58 more often because it’s, well, let’s be honest, cheaper and easier to replace. That said, I’m wearing the 79090 today.

I have a blue BB58 (on the bracelet) and a new 41 Sub. I almost never wear the Sub; too heavy, too uncomfortable, and to my surprise, the Sub is less accurate. Got the BB in minty used condition for relatively cheap and couldn't pass it up. So I say go for it!

Based of what you have and what you are looking for I would say it’s perfect. Absolutely would pick it up like that

It's a nice watch for the money. I don't have a diver, but if I were to get one it would be the BB58 Blue. Get it, you won't regret it.

easy. Do it. BB58 is amazing and the blue is great. I wouldn’t do nato. Here’s my bb58 925. It is sick. Thinking about the blue later

Great watch. I have one and also Rolexes. IMO, the BB58 Blue is on par or actually better quality than the old subs 14060M and 16610 I used to own.

Really handsome good quality watch with a retro vibe. Would be an absolute no brainer for me, given your collection.

Absolutely do it. I have it and many Rolexes also and it gets a lot of wrist time. I’m about to get the nato strap also. I have the BB 58 bronze and have been wearing it on the nato. Tudor makes an awesome nato! All 58s are strap monsters. Love love love mine

Never understand this beater terminology.

Why use £3k on a watch to beat around?!

Just wear the Rolex as intended it’s not gonna lose value if kept right and serviced right.

The blnr is a cool “beater” then aspire to add a PM of some sort.

It’s like throwing good money after bad.

I tried what you’re planning.
However the Tudor ended up never getting worn as I missed not wearing a Rolex.

I’d stick to the Rolex, and maybe put the money towards an OP, Exp 1 etc. you can always get a G shock for times that a watch may get damaged

OP, Don't worry about the name on the dial Tudor is basically Rolex maybe 10years ago. I have many Rolex sports models but find myself wearing the BB58 most of the time. Build quality is very good. You have some great Rolexes. Time to experience Tudor imho. Enjoy
