Tudor 9401 (Blue) Bezel insert availability

Hi all

The bezel insert in my blue Tudor 9401 snowflake has fallen out, I'm frantically searching my house in the hopes it's come out here but if I can't find it do Rolex still have replacements or will I be looking at paying a huge premium for a second hand one?

Any idea on costs and will Rolex replace it without a full service as I had it done last year at an independent watchmaker.

Thanks for your support

I got a nice blue service one about a year ago from London Rolex Service Centre @ St. James' was n.o.s. had a nice semi- matte finish was about £125 + vat I think. Hope you find it - turn the cat/dog/tortoise upside down, and give them a good pat !

If your bezel insert is original, keep looking! If it was already a service insert, then don't worry.

Mine was service anyway so I wouldn't mind spending £125 for being clumsy

@pauldavidthorpe - did you manage to avoid a service at the same time?

Yes no problem as the caseback doesn't get taken off no need to service..., All you do is take the watch in to them say you want an insert (and a little bit of great info for newbies here) - they then take the watch off you and pass it back to you 25 mins later with the insert and invoice with the watches serial number. It therefore gives you the lowest cost 'authenticity thumbs-up' from Rolex on a piece by merely buying a bezel insert !

I don't enjoy a new bright-blue service insert on a vintage blue Tudor Snowflake. It's like if somebody comes into your sophisticated party and just starts screaming.

I'd look for an appropriately aged vintage insert. You might have to get your wallet out, though.

The one I got last year from them is actually a matt blue finish and I suspect it was made 15-20 yrs ago. But yes I get your sentiment the last of the 79190s were very blue.
