Just got the call...Incomming!!

Hi, you may know me from such posts as "Dealer Requirements"...LOL

Well, he just called me to tell me my Submariner came in and it's waiting for me.

I did mention that I thought for sure I would be passed up, but he said that I've been a good customer and they don't want to harm that relationship.

So I guess there are still good Salespeople at AD's trying their best with the current situation.

Anyway...I will post pictures for sure once I have it this evening.

Didn't think I'd be this excited, but I am.

And yes, using my CC to buy it....

Give me a break. I don't know why everyone puts ADs on a pedestal. It's not like they're a struggling business.

Yeah exactly this perhaps next time McDonald's sells OP a big Mac he can also offer to pay by wire, they are doing you a favor by serving you a big Mac when it could go to a starving child so help them save on fees, it's only right.

Idk about you, but I'm starting a go fund me page to help out my poor AD. He's struggling so much he can't afford to have any watches in his display case!

This is baffling to me...honestly. Do they help out Best Buy too by paying with Wire or Cash for their new TV?

If this was a down market they'd want a discount from that same AD.

They must really love you, selling you a watch _and_ willing to eat a host of credit card fees!

Amen! The poor struggling AD selling $40K+ Rolexes at full MSRP as fast as they can get them in. Sheesh. Credit card fees are a cost of doing business. If they don't want to pay them, don't accept credit cards.

Yes, I'm very grateful that they are acting like a normal retail establishment.

lmao I can't believe how much bootlicking some people do...

Congrats OP - you won't be disappointed with a sub. In my mind, there's only two Rolex's a person absolutely must own at some point - a Sub and a GMT Master II.

I’m not sure why so many people have their panties in a bunch about CC fees? It’s part of the business and what the establishment agrees upon when they sign up to process those transactions.

Really glad to hear it Jagamov. I replied to you in your other thread.

Now you get the watch and don't have to be reminded of the time you bent over for an AD.

Not arguing on the use of card as I too agree with most that it's part of the cost of doing business, but so in the end there really is NO "requirement", just a strong "preference"? Felt like maybe you made a bigger deal out of it than necessary, turning your own speculation into like it was a "must" situation....? Either way congratulations on the score, and hopefully the relationship continues to grow from here?

Congratulations, and post some pictures when you get it.

You are not wrong. It was just a weird request to me (I've never wired money, ever) and it seemed very 11th hour. In any event, I told him my preference and apparently they are ok with it. Guess they figured they could try and benefit off my impatience.

Congrats to sticking to your guns and prevailing.

Cant believe how many ppl are on the AD’s side to succumb to their wire “request”. Acting like the CC fees will make or break their business
