Kermit questions

Hi all, I have some questions about a few watches on bobs watches. I’m asking because I feel they’re pretty honest, and maybe other sellers try to hide this, or maybe I’m just wrong, let me know.
Some of their Kermit looking watche are labeled as 16610V and some just 16610V. The their descriptions are different too. The ones with the V say it’s the anniversary, and the others say with Kermit style green insert. If anyone has the time, I’d be grateful if someone checked out their website.
So are those just subs with aftermarket green bezels? Why wouldn’t I just buy a $12k Rolex and change the bezel myself? That’s why I’m like, am I missing something?
Thanks all!!
Ps, I say this every time, I’m sorry I had cropping/ sizing issues with the pic, I swear I’m not this bad with technology all the time!!! I failed at the pic, it didn’t go though.

LV has green insert and has a different dial which is similar to the plots on a ceramic ref. Pics looks like crown guards are over polished . Good luck.

If a green Sub Date does not have the original paperwork with it, there is no way to know if it is an authentic LV or not.

The only difference between the LV and any other 16610 is the green insert and maxi-dial

As to what Bob's advertises and sells, your guess is a good as anybody else.

I have never done business with Bobs but I’ve heard things…try finding the watch you want from a trusted seller on TRF…

If you want to know you have the real thing buy only with papers. I bought mine new in 2005 and have never regretted it. Almost daily wear since.

Isn't Bob's the place that claims most of their watches have been "serviced" and when you ask by who they claim that they did it and expect this alleged "service" to add value to the watch?

I may be wrong but I recall it is Bob.

Do you know how easy "papers" are to fake? There are websites that will sell you fake, matching warranty cards and RSC invoices for $100.

And most of those reputable sources couldn't tell fake warranty cards from real ones so there is little to no value in your seller.

Like others said it’s not just the bezel.

In many countries the paperwork also never stated LV but only 16610.

Yes they also keep all the extra links on the watches…..platinum and gold also

And a nice LV with papers is going to be closer to 20k but well worth it

Wonderful watch. This is the real LV, the ones that came later (116610LV and 126610LV) are very nice and more evolved, but they don't reach the beauty of the original.

1) Insert
2) Maxi dial
3) Minute hand
4) Serial number on case + exact maxi dial version = an identifier as well

So, there are more variables than people first think of.

Not a Bobs fan. Their site will list condition in a very positive way on WAY over polished watches. Make sure you know what you are buying with them.

True, earlier European ones had punched papers so even with these no way to authenticate. I have one of those in NOS condition. I took it into RSC and they did an insurance evaluation and ran the serial number and indicated it was born an LV.

Really interesting. Never knew that and never had a regular 16610 to compare my LV to:

Presumably one can add a "Box and papers bro!" here, as a genuine piece of advice?
