Mine (and my wife's) collection, with our newest addition

Really excited about the state of things right now. We are both over the moon with the newest addition (White Gold Meteorite Daytona on Oysterflex) as it is an AMAZING piece in the metal (even better than I had imagined/photos don't do the meteorite justice) and it also fills several glaring holes in the collection.

Still a few more additions we'd like to make eventually, but in no rush.

In case folks are curious, I bought my first watch in 2015 (Hulk) and have been hooked since. All of these watches get ample wrist time. Lucky enough to have bought all but the Root Beer from an AD (super grateful to have a good relationship with an awesome AD).

Cheers to all on TRF, have a great weekend!

Thanks, it certainly is my grail as well! I honestly think the biggest ingredient in acquiring that watch was luck. Like I said, I have been a client for a while and have a good relationship with my AD (knows I buy the watches to wear and not flip etc), but I am by no means some massive heavy-hitter buying hundreds of thousands of dollars of jewelry. I’ve bought the above watches along with some jewelry for my wife (under $25k) over the years. I’ve also turned down some in-demand models that I didn’t love or couldn’t afford at the time.

I stop by frequently, try to be friendly, and have been clear that the meteorite dials were the top of my wish list for a long time now. When I got the call, I was speechless. My wife came with me to pick it up and she and the SA poked fun at how star-struck I was holding it.

They said it was the first meteorite Daytona their store had received. There was no quid-pro-quo and they seemed happy to sell the watch to an enthusiast.

Basically, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world this week. Wish you luck in getting yours as well!

Thanks everyone!

And as for color, I've never been a huge fan of the LN subs/GMT's etc. I know they're great pieces, but I tend to wear a lot of color (not a lot of black), so the colors go well with blue/brown that I wear a lot of...and the Hulk goes with everything!

I have an LVc and a 5CHNR. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a meteorite Daytona some day. Wonderful collection.

I think she’d like to wear more of them, but sadly no- just the DJ 31 for her currently. She has really small wrists, so the adjustments would be pretty significant. She’s hoping for a YM 37 Rose gold on Oysterflex, but who knows when that will happen.

Such good watches. Before this new Daytona, those were by far my favorites.

LOL, she’d have more of she wasn’t so picky! I’ve tried to buy her several other watches over the years, but this was the first one that we had the opportunity to buy AND she liked.
