Rubber B clasp vs Tang buckle

Was thinking about a rubber b strap for one of my watches and wondered if anyone can comment on the wearability of the Rolex clasp vs the tang buckle version?

Thanks in advance

I prefer using a clasp over a buckle when such option exist, but both are good and wearable IMHO

Clasp buckles are a nice touch to a strap but I tend to use a tang to keep my buckles looking nice. Or at least so that it matches the bracelet. I'm afraid that the buckle scratches so much that it doesn't match the bracelet anymore. It's like wearing your suit pants too much and not your jack that goes along with it.

I get the wearing the clasp more and it looking more worn than the strap. It was more about the comfort

I like it with the clasp. Especially a glidelock

My $.02 is that I have one with the clasp that I wear exclusively but another with the tang since my wife and I share the watch. If I wasn't sharing with the wife, I'd go with the clasp since I really like that look. Looks as if it's OEM. (i.e., oysterflex)

IMO the only benefit of a tang and buckle over a deployant is if you are using it on a sports watch to go over a wetsuit or cold weather outer gear as it's obviously got considerably more adjustment than a deployant. But for aesthetics and (IMO) comfort, I always prefer a deployant clasp.

If you're concerned about scratching up your Rolex clasp, you should consider a generic "Rolex-pattern" deployant instead (i.e. a copy of the Rolex clasp but without the crown branding). ABP sell one (see link below), but plenty of other out there as well -

Clasps can be bought on the secondary market that will work quite well and make the straps work better imho.

my preference is always to use the original clasp, but in the case of rubber b it depends on the strap model. Some of them need to be cut, which i hate. additionally you might lose EZ link functionality. That's a hard no for me.

If full tang, Rubber B is fine. Otherwise I go everest for a perfectly sized product as well as EZ link functionality. Again, some rubber b straps do have the EZ link functionality, but you need to double check.
