Rolex Rarity and Production Numbers????

Hello! First-time long time. Curious if anyone has put together a spreadsheet or guide that lists the estimated production numbers of each Rolex model? As I look through various pieces I love I often find myself wondering how many are potentially out there!

Afraid only Rolex would know the production of any watch,at one time Rolex made around 1000000 watches each year.now around 850000_900000.Yes some made in smaller numbers but none could be considered as being rare .

Here's an idea of the rarity of Rolexes -

86,400 secs in a day. 365 days in a year. So that's 31,536,000 seconds of productivity in a year (assuming the Rolex factory runs 24/7). Rolex produce around 1 million watches a year, meaning they're churning out a brand new Rolex at a rate of one every 31.5 seconds, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

And if we assume they only work during the normal working week (i.e. 250 working days a year) and for say 12 hours per day (43,200 seconds), it means they're churning out a new Rolex at a rate of one watch every 10.8 seconds.

Obviously we don't know how that 1m is made up - e.g. 10 Daytonas and 999,990 DateJusts - but as a whole, modern Rolexes aren't rare.

The 5 digit platinum DDs seem much rarer than people think.

You only need to look at Chrono24 listings to gauge that. The YG DDs are a dime a dozen and the WG ones are fairly easy to buy too but there are only ever a handful of the platinum DDs on there and it's often the same ones that have sat there for months.
