Vintage Omega 2537-3 with Cal 283 36mm

11 million serial dates to 1947-1949.

The dial originated in a silver finish however it has turned an amazing shade of copper due to radium burn over the years. It retains its reflective, metallic properties under a light and really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. The radium lume is full for all numbers. Hand lume matches dial lume. There is some darkening of lume as seen in photos but this is consistent w/ the age, era, and manufacturer.

The case is 36mm with 19mm between lugs. Original crown. The case wears very large for the era. It is very similar in size (diameter, length, and height) to a vintage 36mm Datejust or Explorer 1016.

The central seconds Cal 283 movement is running well with no issues. No service history. Keeps time as expected. I wear this watch very infrequently for usually no more than a day at a time. This watch was serviced by the dealer Omega Enthusiast prior to my purchase from him in 2017.

Includes the pictured green textured Analog-Shift strap.
