Someone tell me it’s okay and to buy this. Enabler needed.
So after the disappointment of the the speedy 57 being too large my search for a daily chrono with a date continued.
I stumbled into breitling and the SA brought my attention to this beauty. So classic watch, one of the best chrono movements in it, date, fits my 6.5 wrist tick tick tick. It’s only 30m wr. After a bad experience with a watch dying because of this I swore off watches like this. My watch got a bit of salt on it so I ran it under a tap to rinse it… Am I being too harsh? It’s one of the key reasons I buy Rolex but the Daytona doesn’t have a date :( ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Are you planning on taking a Navitimer into the ocean?

I don’t want to worry about it when i wash my hands etc… =( to be able to wash it etc, and where it everyone but not swim with.
Durable daily beater type thing that Rolex does so well is what I’m looking for. |

This is the sole reason I don’t own a Navitimer. However, I know it’s not a valid reason for me, as I never find myself spontaneously jumping into bodies of water.
Personally, my love for these new Navitimers is starting to override my irrational fear of wearing watches with less than 100M of WR. I say go for it. I think I eventually will, too. |

I would go for it. Great watch with history. My personal preference is a Navitimer on a strap, same goes for IWC Pilots. But that's just my preference.

For a daily wear I prefer simple and handsome. Nothing try too hard to be busy. Thats my only complaint about it. I think you'll get tired of it. Something with a simpler layout would stay longer.
Nothing too great but no complaints and not valuable enough to bother selling is why I have had seamasters for 20 years. ![]() David has this one in 40mm for under $5k https://davidsw.com/shop/watch/breit...chronograph-2/

It’s very nice. Personally I prefer it on the strap. I tried this on at the boutique in NYC not too long ago.

Oh if I got it I’d 100% buy straps to change it up. Appears to be a strap monster like the moonwatch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I say do it! I have a Grand Seiko marked “splash resistant” and have had no issues washing hands or running it under light water to clean it.
It is a beautiful Navitimer and these are the reason I first got into watches, such a classic reference. |

If it has the B01 movement it is worth considering. That is a great movement with excellent reviews.

This will be a difficult one to pass up, Graham. It's such a lovely watch, but I also understand your concern.
I've had that happened with a watch before and never forget. Hoping you're able to somehow make this one work or find something similar better suited. |

OP - any updates?
I’m a fan of these especially in the new mint color. |
