Every case back sticker I have seen has been on a counterfeit product so I doubt you will get much response.

Completely agree. No idea why you'd want to keep it; rather gross.

When my safe queen 18238 A Serial arrived, I found this on the back, IIRC, asked in the forum how to safely and cleanly carefully remove.

Removed it nicely and stuck it on the papers.

I've had watches that came with decrepit rotting case back sticker from the "used" market. I've no idea what the prior owners were thinking. Gross practice. Much better off with a clean watch back.

My previous 16710A had it but Rikki had it removed when he serviced it several years ago.

Awesome thread. I always thought the caseback stickers were really neat. (I'd love to know more about the evolution and different designs they used over the years as I find the stories behind oddities as such to be very interesting.)

So odd to me that so many adults would comment how gross they are instead of just reading the post and moving on. It wasn’t a post that asked what your feelings about caseback stickers were, just simply if you had a watch with them and if you’d post a picture of it.

Have to agree with you bacterial trap and could cause case back pitting always first thing to remove and bin, myself glad the case back stickers and holograms have gone for ever. Over the many many years of forum duties, must have seen more hologram/sticker questions asked, than about the actual watches. Makes me think sometimes what's more important boxes, stickers, holograms, latest date serial letters etc or the main product the actual watch.

Am I the only silly one who buys the stickers off ebay and puts them on for "old times sake" ? I also find they protect the brush back from wearing down and getting shiny, especially on the gold models..

Put these on the back of all my Rolexes either to cover an original caseback sticker or if it doesn’t have one at all.

What Japanese collectors do is put another sticker on top of the Rolex sticker to protect it.

Germs and case back pitting...

Who knew? Who cares?

Smaller quirks like this are fascinating to some to learn about and see images of how they evolved over the years. That doesn't mean it's more important than the watch, just that it is interesting.
