Any hairline/minor scratches?

Hello! I've been enjoying my 1262330021 for about 3 weeks and have been very mindful of my wrist.
I wiped the clasp with a lens cloth maybe twice, but will now only clean with hand soap, my fingers, and water before lightly pat drying the watch with a towel and blow drying the rest of the water away.

Apart from dust and finger prints, do you see any minor or hairline scratches?
What is a hairline scratch anyway?

Hairline scratches are minute and fine scratches. They're inevitable.

Enjoy your watch. Don't worry about it.

You’re going to have to take closer pictures, with better lighting, and higher resolution for the scratch experts to assist you.

Hairline scratches are scratches that have a similar pattern to strands of hair.

Just clean it with dish soap and dry it with a clean towel. Dish soap is a degreaser and great at removing the oil that accumulates on the watch from wearing it. Dish soap is also good at removing slime, blood, and guts off of the watch after you get back from a fishing trip.

It's going to get covered in scratches if you wear it. It is inevitable, and after they start to accumulate, it probably won't bother you.

Alternatively, you can only wear it on special occasions, cover it in bubble wrap, and consciously spend every minute focusing on the position of your wrist, but this probably is not an enjoyable experience of ownership.

If you are treating the watch as you describe, and are so concerned with small marks on the clasp, I would argue you are not enjoying it.

Let go of the concern over small marks. They can and will be magically removed when you send in the watch for service 8-10 years from now.

It’s a joke. No one blow dries their watch.

Don’t bother to wipe.
Wiping with any material, however clean & no matter if it’s the best lens cleaning cloth will cause these swirls & scratches, esp on polished surface.

To clean 1st wet your watch to loosen the dried petrified dirt and grime.
After wetting the watch for few seconds under running tap water, carefully set it aside for 30sec on a wet cloth, without rubbing the watch surface on the clothes.
Use a little bit of soap to make foams on your hands, and gently place the foams onto your watch without rubbing.
Rinse clean with running water, without any cloth/sponge.
Just let it sit on a lens cloth, for air dry, without any need of heating or any need to dry with any cloth.

sheesh….. i can’t understand the enjoyment of a watch when it comes with this much of a headache. there is literally NOTHING you can do to prevent scratches with the exception of never wearing your watch.

enjoy it. the scratches will happen. they become less painful over time

You're going to get more scratches, and they will become deeper and more noticeable over time.

Eventually you'll tire of your blow-drying routine and just use a towel. If you're anything like me, that is.

My watches are in great shape, but I wear them as they're meant to be worn.

Don't worry about scratches. The first is always the most painful, but years down the road you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

Enjoy your watch!

Listen, there is no easy way to say this. Its going to get bad, the bottom of the clasp is the worst. On my old now departed two-tone daytona and even on my also departed SS daytona I actually liked the hairlines and scratches it muted the PCL's somewhat. I view a watch like a good pair of boots, wear is inevitable and obsessing over it, takes the joy away. Your watch will outlast you.

Unless you have hard water. Then you will need to repeat these steps indefinitely. Or but distilled water. But watch out distilled water may be corrosive. Oh the never ending hardships.
