Subway ‘tuna’ sandwiches

News reports say there’s pork, chicken and some other ‘meats’ in there too…

This is why I can’t lose weight!!!!!!

It's probably an upgrade to the late night gas station sushi that you seem fond of!

Several years ago I watched a documentary about the fast food production industry. Most Subway “meats” are made from mixed meat slurries that is dyed and flavored to match its namesake. Then poured onto a belt line, cooked and shaped.

I’ve never eaten at a Subway since, nor will ever again.

My daughter-in-law worked part time at Subway during high school & told me never to get their tuna sandwich!

All of the "meat" at subway is the same color. The post above now explains that.

I'm with @NYC6, only JM for me.

Too funny …

I guess I’m that guy, but I eat a 6” tuna sub, a bag of sun chips and a small chocolate milk every day M-F.

No joke.

Subway had always been a last resort. I will drive 10 miles each way for a Publix sub over a subway across the street.

I feel like Publix has gone so far downhill though. Bread is always rock hard, and God forbid you don't order in advance, I could get a blnr from an AD faster than that sub line.

Luckily my Publix is close to fully staffed if not fully staffed. Bread is baked every morning and I’ve never had to wait more than 5-8 mins to get my sub started.
