Post your old AD case pics!

Going through my old pictures, found one from April of 2019 with some great pieces available.

Let's see some full cases!

Wow….hard to believe this was ever reality. Just wish my watch budget was stronger back then so I could have scored some pieces without a ridiculous wait!

Frankfurt Airport 2014. Was madly in love in the Platinium Daytona. Still is. Couldn’t afford it. Can’t still afford it now. Haha.

This reminds me of old FootLocker/NikeTown pics when you saw current/retro Jordans on shelf & available. Crazy I grew sick of the resale/hype of sneakers so stopped & now here I am trying to get watches, smh...

Let’s put it into perspective, It was only Rolex insanity for 3 max 4 years in their +100 year history. As these photos demonstrate, a short while ago most models were available. Since the folly is now subsiding, expect to see cases like that again pretty soon and a glut of supply due to the shutdown of Russia and reduced sales in China

It feels odd taking photos of display cases in a store.

True all available a few years ago apart from the steel Daytona that has been difficult to get for a couple of decades now. But still it was much easier to get compared to now

Funny,I am not overwhelmed by phone calls from ADs for the one's I show interest in ...

There is plenty money and demand at the AD for Rolex .
If the silly pricing at the beloved white gloved used watch dealer gone down a bit ,it really means absolutely nothing .

Don't expect to see Sub/Dates on display ...

Saw a oyster green /black,a jubilee green/black and YM 42 WG on Oysterflex recently .All sold .
Oyster beats jubilee on the eye squinter and that YM is BEAUTIFUL in the metal .

Yes. Well put.

Some models certainly, not most models. Where are the LVs, BLNRs, BLROs, CHNRs, Sky Dwellers?

As supply began to dwindle compared to demand I was still traveling. TT Daytona, Milgauss TT DJ, and YM were the last to disappear from windows. I've never seen a SS Sub, SS Sub Date, SS or PM GMT, SS Daytona or any Sky Dweller for sale in an AD window or for sale in a display case going back 15 years. I was wait listed for a 16610LV, but at least back they you could actually get on a real list and get the watch.

Visited two ADs while in Paris November 28, 2019. Empty spaces and ladies watch’s were starting to dominate cases at that time.

Wow!

Reminds me back in 2017 there was a platinum Daytona on the window for sale, I enquired about it as I thought it was SS haha unfortunately I wasn’t as vested into the hobby back then

One can dream, I guess. But we are light years away from a glut of AD supply.

Alas no pics, yet Hulk just sitting under the counter. My previous longtime AD offered me the rare porcelain dial Daytona when i never knew about that version back then, etc. Just walk in, find something you love.... and wear it out of the store

Cases were full everywhere prior to 2017. My AD even had both black and white dial SS Daytona's in the case in 2014.

This. I suspect these are the very same models you will start to see back in AD cases shortly.

Where was this? Was there really a white dial Daytona available in 2018?
