Anyone use a Para Elastic Strap or other elastic?

As the title asks, looking for input on the Para style elastic strap. Most of what I've read people rave about them being very comfortable. My biggest concern is the hook coming undone. Something like this.....

Hi, they are comfortable to wear once you have it adjusted correctly. In my experience you don't need to be concerned about the clasp coming undone. I'm more concerned about the pressure on the lug pins as I see that as the weak point.

I just ordered some elastic straps from delugs. I’ll let you know when they arrive what my verdict is. They are hardware free so you have to get the sizing right and frankly I may have too large a wrist for what they offer (7.5”). Time will tell.

LOVE these parachute straps. I have one of Erika Originals MN straps and many from Watch Steward.

The MN strap is robust and has a stiffness to it, but very comfortable to wear. The hook has never come close to opening on it's own. Plus, it has the added security of a NATO, so if one spring bar breaks, the other will still hold the watch on your wrist.

While Watch Steward makes straps with similar security [strap material between the watch & wrist], I prefer the Original & G Series straps that have no material between watch and wrist. It eliminates the added security but the watch sits lower on the wrist.

Either way, you can't beat the amazing comfort of these parachute straps.

I've also been looking at these. Specifically the Marine Nationale style. Thanks for the real world reflection on comfort and ease of use. I think I'll get one now.

Aside from the comfort, as others have pointed out, the added security of this and the NATO style is what I was looking for. Personally, I've never had a watchband or springbar fail (knock on wood), but I usually refrain from wearing anything nice while boating just in case. I think I'd get more wear out of a watch on something like this.

I know there are many companies making about the same product, but Monstrap has caught my eye for some reason.

I've got a few from Nick Mankey (https://nickmankeydesigns.com/) and Formex (https://formexwatch.com/accessories/...o-black-strap/). I've worn both of these all through summer and its hard to go back to anything else!

I'm not patient enough to order from Nick Mankey! Eight weeks manufacturing delay followed by "significant setbacks" in shipping. I'm a want it now person, LOL.
