New AP, first diver…

I have been letting my Fifty Fathoms do pool/dive duty since moving on my last Submariner, but have really liked the blue/yellow diver for some years now. I almost bought a Ghost when they were first released, but think I’m really going to like this in the casual SS slot. My collection needed an extra pop of color.

I love that watch. But I love all the divers!

Seriously though, I hear you on the pop of color. So fun. Did that come with an extra yellow strap? That would look amazing.

Congrats.

Full set. It came with the yellow strap as well as blue. Haven’t tried the yellow yet. Thanks!

Its a great piece, was my first AP and still gets more wrist time than anything else, keeping the yellow strap clean is a challange mind....

Thanks! I hope yours arrives soon; it’s great for what it is, a fun vacation/pool/beach/dive watch.

Every time I see pics of the old divers, I can’t help but think those dials looked much better with the long stick markers.

I also still prefer the Audemars white text over just the AP logo, and as it is metal it can disappear at certain angles and then the dial seems so bare.

I think the divers are great and would like to add one as well someday....however, I tried on one at the same time as the new 43mm ROOC and the 43 felt much thinner and more comfortable on my wrist...personally.

I would love to see the curved bezel and sunken caseback from the new 43s carried over to the diver. Would really make it killer...plus, I just don't see a reason not to thin it down with current trends.
