118135 DD Crown issue

Hello all,
My wife hurriedly tried to set the date on her 118135. I believe the time on the watch was around 9-10 PM. We noticed that the date wheel wouldn't advance when the crown was spun. I gave it a few hours in the hope that letting the watch run itself would cause the issue to fix itself, but now when I turn the crown to set the time I get a quiet grinding sound and nothing happens. The hands don't turn.

Am taking it into my AD this weekend, but just curious if anyone knows what the issue is and about what the cost might be?
Thanks in advance!

If its still under warranty then you might not have to pay anything
