Trade 26331ST (Blue) for 116509 (Blue)
Always lurking around and have polled the forum from time to time but here is my latest dilemma: I was offered a straight trade: my 2019 26331ST (Blue dial) for a 2018 116509 (Blue dial). No cash. Thoughts?
I understand this is the AP forum but wanted to get some feedback. I have a 15500 (grey), Patek 5172 and a few Rolex in the collection at this moment in time. It is tempting but could go either way. |

Thanks. I am leaning towards keeping the AP. It is a sanity check.
The other opportunity is to trade the 26331 and $10K cash and get the 126719BLRO Meteorite Dial. I recently got from my AD the 126720VTNR (and I have a 116710LN). Thus, lot of GMTs but Meteorite dial? --Full disclosure: I previously had 126719BLRO (blue dial) but the bezel and dial never worked. Bezel looked purple against the dial. |

Yeah I personally think the BLRO is really overhyped and its a fad. Plus youre considering going from AP > Rolex on a trade (PM or not), the attention to detail is on another level with AP. End of day with that Daytona it's a $15k watch, in gold. Both trades would be a no for me, but only what your heart desires!
Additionally, there's definitely a chance the Daytona gets revamped for 2023. It's the 60th anniversary and it's time Daytona got a 12xxxx movement to match the rest of the catalog. This could make that white gold Daytona pivot to a spot of even more affordability as I don't see it increasing in value. |

Yeah I would say Yes to both trades.
Between the Daytona and the AP RO, it’s a 60/40 in favour of trade. Between the AP RO and the BLRO, it’s worth the trade. |

Don’t have the 26331st but have both the 116509 blue and the 126719 meteorite. I’d say go for it if you really want a PM watch as both those pieces are very goodlooking watches from Rolex and can go under the radar. I think the 26240 has much better wearability so to top it off you can add a 26240 blue dial to the collection later on.
