GMT Bezel Color

If you change the bezel color on the GMT, will Rolex USA put the original color back during service?

ps. I have a new to me GMT - pics later.

No, they do not, so long as the insert is authentic and you specify you want to retain it.

Larry, do you know if they will change the color on request? Seems to be lots of disagreement on this. I did not know what you mentioned above, interesting and informative as usual.

The safest place for your watch is on your wrist.

I have never asked the RSC to change a bezel for me.... but then, they have never insisted that it be changed either.

However, my local AD will order any color bezel for me if I bring a GMT in. They do want to retain the old one as per Rolex Corporate policy.

No, I traded it for a newer GMT II. I originally had a GMT 17 years ago but after the date mechanism failed three times I traded it at an AD for a Sub two years later which I have been delighted with. I have always loved the Sub and the GMT but sadly I can't own both at the same time, so I thought 15 years with one and the rest with the other. If I had sold my Sub on time I would have offered to buy yours.

I know you loved your Sub....I always loved that photo of it in the Steinhausen winder! A beauty. Congrats on the GMT! Mine is long gone but I would have loved to have sold it to you
