People who've purchased off waiting lists

So for people that have waited on a waiting list for these hard to get Rolex's, do you end up paying the price listed on Rolex's website, or is there a markup?

Retail - ADs have to charge MSRP only, at least in the US

MSRP as per the UK website. On one occasion they discounted me the MSRP increase that occurred while I was waiting for mine to arrive. On a more recent occasion, not. Fine by me, but I always ask.

Retail MSRP

Although sometimes you wait so long you end up paying the same as the grey price was at the time you originally went on the list

That actually happened me once! Fact lol

Retai price, waited 6-8 years for a white dial Daytona and it turned up in August.

It's a matter of being patient.

Waited for 3 Rolexes. Reasonable wait time for 2 and almost immediate for 1. Paid retail + state tax. They also gifted a restaurant voucher with higher value than what I paid in taxes each time.

That sounds like a pretty gracious AD considering the market!

Have known them a long time. Sadly, they no longer carry Rolex or Tudor as the owner is headed towards retirement.

You should only be paying MSRP from an authorized dealer. Caveat is as noted in post #8, if the MSRP increases while you’re waiting you will have to pay the new price not the old price.

Just an aside. Rolex prices stayed the same in the US for almost a decade but now seems to be back to almost yearly increases. My Daytona was $12400 in November of 2019, two jumps later it’s $14550 with zero changes. That $2150 difference might have made me think more at the time.

MSRP. Worth the wait, which turned out to be shorter than I expected.

What would be the point of waiting to pay more if you could just go Grey and pay more without waiting

It's been a while since I've purchased a watch, but every watch with exception to my DaytonaC I've purchased at a discount. DaytonaC was the only watch I paid MSRP for.
