Icon2 Mid-1960s Tissot Seastar Seven

This Tissot watch was given to a family member for his 21st birthday back in 1965. I'm not too familiar with Tissot, I just assume it's gold plated (or gold cap with plated bracelet), but told my brother I'd put it up here in case any of you guys could illuminate. It could even be solid gold, I guess, but he doesn't want to risk scratching it up opening it to see the inside caseback.

Thanks

Appears to be gold filled.
Engraved initials have turned dark, usually a sign of brass underneath the gold plating.
Steel clasp on bracelet. I've never seen steel parts mixed with solid gold bracelet.

Cool watch, Adam. Sadly I don't have any information regarding the piece but enjoy learning more about various vintage watches.

Yeah, gold filled makes sense of course. Thanks.
