Blue skydweller - just venting.

I want a blue skydweller!!!!!!

There it's out.

Been waiting at several AD's for a blue sky, ever since it was introduced. And still nothing.
Pisses me off seeing it offered on so much grey but I can't get one at an AD.

If any of you guys come across one at an AD in Europe let me know.

Hopefully soon.

It must be frustrating waiting that long.

What’s the delta between list price and gray these days?

I think it’s about $10k. Still a tough ask.

I saw blue dial goes for $23k, white and black dial for $20k at MODA.

I’m on the list for one as well. My SA told me she hasn’t seen a single one at my AD in her 2+ years working there.

They say the blue Sky-D is more difficult to get than SS Daytona.

With the recent price increase in the EU, the difference between retail and market, at least based on Chrono24 is 9K. There is this Moda group where prices are lower at around 23K but as they ship from the USA the import duties will add up to more than the market price.

I'd say be patient or if you are tired of waiting try to law ball some of the greys near you.

If you are on a real list, as opposed to your details being written down then thrown away, your patience will be rewarded. It's a watch worth waiting for but IMO not worth the grey difference.

Recession-proof wealthy people, who won't be troubled by the economic down turn (some will view it as a fire sale) don't comprise the entire customer base. The lists will get shorter. Your Sky Dweller is getting closer.

White is available to buy at some AD's with no wait list. So is the 2 tone.
Full yellow gold may also be available immediately.
Black dial stainless has a small waiting list.
Rose gold also has a waiting list.
Blue stainless has a serious waiting list and some may not even allow people to join the list.

Pricing on this watch continues to drop. Looks like one can be had for around 22K on Chrono24 right now. I would guess it will be sub 20K in the next 6 months. It is a very rare watch but it also takes a buyer with a fairly substantial wrist to pull off the heft.

All the ADs where I had "registered interest" had deleted their files, previous inquiries erased. I wouldn't count on getting it one day unless one is willing to remind that AD periodically. (Then again that should not be too frequent else it's viewed as 'pestering' and you'll end up on a Black List. Once a month too much, every 6M perhaps appropriate.)

No it is the other way round.

I put the Sky D on the back burner in order to get the SS Daytona quicker.

As already pointed out the grey price is dropping so the demand to get it might drop :)

As some have already posted, the grey/retail price spread is around $10k....a little less for the white, about $10k for the black, and a probably around $11k-$12k for the blue.

Also a slight premium on the jubilee.

Still too wide a gap to get one on the greys for me.

Some I got history with, some not. But I travel all across the globe for work and any AD I pass by I enter and ask. Some are willing to write down, some not. Some ask for email others say flat-out no.

Dunno who does keep track or who doesn't. Every AD has their M.O. I just keep firing till I hit something.

Loyalty to 1 AD is overrated. If I'm not their number one why should they be mine.
I got the money and the 1st one to serve me will get my cash, simple as that.

I ow them nothing and they ow me nothing. Free market.

Just pisses me off that the greys are overloaded with blue sky's and I'm here like a dumbass waiting for years and 7billion price hikes. GRRRR

The blue Sky was one of the first watches I went on list for 4 yrs ago. About a little over a year ago I put myself on list for couple of Daytonas. Now have white ss and John Mayer but still no blue Sky D. Make of that what you wish. Blue Sky seems to be a very tough one to get into the boat.

I waited just over 2 years and I feel lucky. Amazing watch for sure but a hell of a wait.

I have heard from more than one AD that they only get 1-2 blue Sky dwellers per year vs comments of 5-12 SS Daytona's (no idea on the white to black dial mix)

who knows if that is true but I know these people outside of the store so I dont see any reason they would have not tell me the truth

Whats the point of this...what does that mean, assuming it's true....whats the point of comparing? For every 1 person who wants a blue SS skydweller there are 20 that want a white panda

From what I’ve been told from my ADs and have read on this forum the blue skydweller is harder to get than a SS Daytona FWIW. in any case it’s extremely unlikely you are going to get one of these from an AD without the appropriate spend history required to justify allocating it to you
