Explorer 1 and 2 vs AP ROO 15720ST

Debating of what to acquire next...

Explorer 1 36mm and 2 polar or AP ROO.

Thoughts?

AP ROO, depends on the reference of course. Which of the three do you prefer?

Absolutely the new AP Diver over those Explorers.

Tough choice, love the explorers because they're low key and easy to wear but the ROO is a tank.

I tried the ROO path. Lasted 3 weeks. It was a tank, but not in a good way for me.

It was crazy uncomfortable. I knew every second of the day that I was wearing a watch. I would fidget with it and adjust it all day. Crazy top heavy and the rubber strap that only tapered to 24mm just made for an unpleasant experience. In the end, it just had too many compromises to justify the money.

My 126619 is heavier than the AP, but I don't even know I'm wearing the Sub throughout the day.

Yeah totally get it, AP is more of a show piece.

Neither really tickle my pickle but to answer the question, probably the explorers and just wear the polar since i don’t care for the 36mm explorer.

I'm waiting on both (polar and ROO diver). They're very different watches and I'm looking forward to having both in my collection someday. First? Depends on which call comes in first.

Actually had the polar opposite experience, so individual factors prove again to be vitally important in the case of each person.

It's not an easy choice but what you have in your collection will also determine the choice made but besides that, I'll choose the AP ROO.

Love the 124270 as a daily but even I admit it’s a little boring compared to the others you are looking at.

Love it on wrist but if you want more weight on wrist and visually the others are preferable

..Explorer & Spring Diver - I’m just here for the photos..
