At Wynn’s Rolex Boutique Las Vegas

Picked up my Sub yesterday, 14060M, which was back from a full service. Before I could even enter those hallowed portals, I had to wait outside for an SA. The black suited security guard would not drop the rope until I could be escorted inside. I had about a five minute wait. While waiting I observed only one customer with an SA. Finally one came from the back and I was in. While the SA was retrieving my watch I spied two Submariners in a display case. The sign said “for exhibition only”. I asked the SA, after getting my watch, were there any in stock? No. I asked when they expected the supply to return to any sort of regularity. Hopefully next year he replied.

Welcome to the twilight zone.

Hopefully, your Sub is running great and congrats on bringing it home.

The right walk in client in Vegas catches the prize. What the secret formula is nobody knows.

Nice to get your watch back Dave

Yes the retail experience ain’t what it used to be, and I suppose for good reason … a local watch retailer that used to handle Rolex was burgled for the second time in 13 months here, during the middle of the afternoon and located right in the center of a busy shopping mall. Just crazy.

I can see why Rolex AD’s take extra precautions. The last time I visited mine, they had a police officer standing outside the doors (not a rentacop) along side an employee. When I entered they locked the doors behind me.

Not entirely sure what the point of this thread is but what you heard isn't the revelation you may think it is, they've been saying that for years.

That's a WoS property and the only language they speak is big a*s whales.

Walk in Rolex is hard. Wynn Rolex is harder than that.

Another AD down the street got me 4 subs (LN, LV, LB, ND), 3 OPs, a meteorite Daytona, and probably others I'm forgetting over the years.

Wynn got me an explorer II and told me a full gold Daytona was not possible.

I've been quoted the following at each AD visit:
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 18 months
- Two years

These are picked randomly, regardless of previous purchase or last visit. There is no connection to spending or wishlists. It's arbitrary (Another way of saying "Please don't ask.")

I was in Vegas last month and went to all the Rolex Outlets hoping to grab a DJ 41, all the SA were so rude and didn't even want to show me any watches.
Stopped in the Omega one in the Wynn and the people couldn't be nicer and they actually had watches to sell me.

Just this past October, hubby and I traveled to Vegas with another couple on a weekend trip. He walked into this precise boutique and walked out with a DJ 41 he had been waiting for for months from a local AD. It’s not impossible!

Wife and I had a wonderful time visiting many ADs in Vegas a few months back. Almost got an H. Moser or Breguet at WoS Wynn. At Rolex within the fancy mall by the Cosmo we enjoyed a fun and informative discussion with their watchmaker.

All in all a great time.

The only kinda rude thing was the response from a Swatch salesperson probably tired of saying no stock on their Speedy. Can't say I blame the salesperson tho. Wonder how many here have worked retail sales and dealt with high demand and limited supply.

Omega SAs are nice because they must actually _work_ to sell their product. Discount of 10% without asking. Same coffee, same sparkling wine.

Similar to my experience back in November of last year. Visited Vegas with my wife, and we went by the luxury shops in the Wynn. It wasn't just the Rolex boutique that required you to wait outside for an SA to assist you in the store; all the shops had a line outside. That's understandable, especially since some of the popular locations like Chanel had many tens of people waiting outside.

We visited the Rolex boutique and I was able to try on a display BLNR w/oyster bracelet, to contrast it with my jubilee BLNR. It was enough to convince me to think about sourcing an oyster bracelet for my watch. We also visited the Patek section of Watches of Switzerland, and I had a really nice talk with the SA and tried on a display 5712/1R, which was very stunning. *one day, sigh*

In all, it's the same story as all of last near. Display models only, no idea when normies will be able to purchase anything for retail. I get it, there's only so much you can do with the dynamics of the demand given the supply. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I'm glad they have display models to try on. Handling the watches in person is very useful.

I was in Vegas in October and had great experiences at the Tourneau store and their Rolex Boutique. Tried on some of their pre-owned DJ’s(they had several cool Turnographs)at the multi brand store. The Boutique had a DD and some women’s pieces available in the cases. I mentioned being kind of interested in a green OP41, the SA pulled out his personal book and took my info without prompting. Caveat was if he called me I’d have to come back in person to get it. I suspect they sell to walk-ins, just have to be there at the right time.

I enjoy visiting the Wynn’s Rolex Boutique. Just like any AD, it depends on the SA. Find the SA who has been at the location the longest.

The nice thing about the Wynn’s Rolex Boutique is they are always upfront and never lead me on yet occasionally deliver nicely.

Tourneau in Vegas is the exact opposite. You have to play games and there are still no guarantees. The floor manager is also very rude to repeat customers.

My SA said demand is high as usual, expect 1-2 years wait for stainless steel watches if you place an order today. Folks who are getting it today because they are next in line.

Did u talk to "Pooja"? She was kinda honest when I was there last Oct. As of recently, they prefer local sales as their local clientele is growing quite a bit. They will offer ya useless stuff like 2 tone DJ or DJ 36 or with diamonds etc. Or unless ya bring in your blackjack wins and tell them ya want multiple watches for over $30k in a single transaction.

Was at Tourneau in January, needed to buy a gift for a visiting client. I was told if I buy a JLC ultra-thin perpetual calendar, I will likely get an EXII in reasonable time.

I was tempted since the JLC was discounted...but decided to wait for to see what 2023 offers.

The Rolex at the Wynn gave me the best customer service I’ve ever had. It’s different for everyone.

I was in that store years ago and I was wearing my 116718. They had cases full of inventory and were very nice.

The large shop in Palazzo the guy offered me an 1815 chrono basically for cost +1k. Should have bought that.

Wow. Yes you should have. That's Belluso. They have a boutique for each Richemont brand under the one umbrella.

I guess years ago is the keyword here. Maybe it will come back.
