1977 Rolex 1675 GMT-Master MK5 Dial Unpolished Cream Patina Original Bracelet
For sale is an unpolished and fresh to market 40mm stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master “MK5”. The 1675 is a 5.1 million serial, circa 1977, and is not accompanied by box or papers.
The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a bidirectional GMT bezel that is set with a “Pepsi” insert. The GMT-Master is mounted on its original C & I Oyster Rivet bracelet, which is fully linked, and will fit a wrist in excess of 7.5 inches. The GMT Master features a flawless “MK5” matte dial with tritium lume plots, polished white gold tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium lume plots and hands have stood the test of time well, and acquired an even light cream patina. The case has been preserved exceptionally well and remains unpolished with crisp chamfers, while the numbers between the lugs are fully present and crisp. In addition, the case contains ZERO corrosion or pitting. The “Pepsi” GMT bezel insert is a “Blue Back, and is most likely later than the watch. The C&I Oyster rivet bracelet has also been preserved well, and contains some stretch that is consistent with its age. Overall the GMT-Master is in excellent vintage condition, and is a superb example, with the only imperfections being the later “Blue Back” insert, and some faint scuffs on the acrylic crystal.
