Quick question here. Someone please enlighten me.
I recently inherited a vintage Rolex president 1803 , 36mm, and I believe it’s dated 1971 or so.
I noticed that it feels lighter than the modern president of the same bracelet size and case size. Is the vintage president 36mm in white gold simply lighter than modern version? Thanks |

Maybe it's because the bracelet is folded sheet metal and not solid metal.

As Agamemnon said, the modern bracelets are sold gold and are much, much heavier. The older bracelets are basically hollow.
