Converting my 116523 Two Tone Daytona..Advice

My first Rolex was purchased in 2002, 116523 two tone Daytona. I have had it serviced 3 x. I simply don’t love the gold. I swapped out the dial and hands with OEM White Dial W Silver Sub dials and silver hands 9 years back. ( The OEM champagne dial and gold hands offered little contrast, tough to tell time.)
I can get an OEM Used SS Bracelet for $1300, a OEM Stainless Bezel for $900 and 2 SS pushers and a crown for??
I don’t like the idea of selling my first Rolex, however, the gold I’d too flashy for me. I have A new Cermit and a GMT Pepsi Jubilee from 2020.
I would be able to return it to OEM, if needed.. Thoughts on if this makes any sense?

Interesting thought. I can't imagine the pushers and crown to be much beyond $2k, and you could always go back as you state.

Suggest you talk to Rolliworks or another well-recommended independent.

It's your watch. If you can make it "yours" and yet always go back... go for it. Never sell the gold parts!!!

In think it’s a cool idea. If you have the scratch go for it

I don't get it. It took you 20 years to realize you don't love gold?!?!

I would do it, why not? In fact understand years back that was done with the 16523 which was converted to the 16520 as was cheaper than buying the 520. Your watch, your decision !
