Apple Tag

I don’t know if this was ever posted, if it was I’m sorry. I am getting ready for a cruise and I just ordered some Apple Tags for my luggage. Then I wondered if there was a way to attach an Apple Tag on my Rolex’s in a non-destructive manner that would offer an easy-on easy-off solution. The dimensions of an Apple Tag are 1.26 x 0.31 inches. This could be a way to track a thief until they discovered it or a way to find your Rolex if you misplaced it. Any thoughts?

If you’re worried about it being stolen the either wear it at all times or don’t take it with you.

I would put a lo-jack device inside the watch case.

I put them in my luggage. Putting them on/in the watch? I don't see how that can be done. Maybe hidden in a case for the watch...

Swap it out with the movement and it should fit. That way you can bring the watch and leave the movement at home.

You could prob attach it with double sided tape under a deep sea challenge. It’ll tuck right out of sight.

JB Weld that tag right to the case back. If you get the case back engraved first with your name, address and phone number that’s even better.

My thoughts as well. No one would even know you have it on and it wouldn't draw any attention. Perfectly safe and secure.

OP I am sure you could hide it somewhere in one these hideous bands. You may need a fake ponytail to go with it, mind.

Have you actually seen an AirTag?

The Apple Air Tag is way too big for you to actually attach it to a watch; what you can do is to hide the Air Tag inside your watch roll or pouch that contains your watches, so that in the event your watch roll is stolen or lost you can possibly try to track it back.

Have to agree I sometimes wonder why some buy Rolex watches if it causes stress on wearing afraid it might be stolen perhaps bought to wear the name.

I mean, you have to be trolling us. Have you thought that maybe the thief would see the tag IMMEDIATELY and throw it overboard (since you are on a cruise). I mean, you wouldn't have to be a master criminal to think of that.

Apple Tag

I personally can use an Air Tag for my eye glasses. I’m always putting them down somewhere but then can never find them. LOL!

But seriously, we did buy a couple Air Tags for our trip to Europe too. We’re putting them in the luggage as well.

If the AirTag had a directly-attached loop, then maybe a zip tie to connect it to the watch. I’m not aware of an AirTag with this feature though. Might want to look into some version of a personal safe that attaches to another object (e.g. suitcase or something in your room) with a cable?

Buy a Casio Duro two tone. Everybody will think it's a Rolex anyway. $50

I need to remember to attach an Air Tag to my mind before logging on to this forum. Typically takes me about three minutes to lose it.
