Order Wait Time
So I’m planning ahead for a significant milestone for my wife. I’d like to get her a DJ 36 in steel with diamond bezel and black diamond dial. The AD has indicated I can order the watch - as in an order for and the specific watch - not a waiting list for a random allocation. AD says I should expect delivery in roughly 18 months.
As I said, I’m planning ahead. The milestone is 3 years out. Does anyone have recent experience with an order like this. I’d prefer to not plunk down $18k and have it sit in my safe for 2+ years but don’t want to be caught empty handed either. Ideally, I’d take delivery in 24 - 30 months. I’m wrestling with when to place the order. Any thoughts?

Why shop? I wouldn’t expect a discount. Should I?

Kinda speaks to the fact that ADs don't know when exactly they're going to get certain units.
Ask to put down a smaller deposit. |
