Safe/Trusted Platform to sell watches

Hi

I want to sell a few watches that I no longer use and I was wondering if there is a safe and trusted platform that others have used to do this?

I’ve heard some horror stories of sales on most of the platforms out there. If that is the only option, then what are some tips or good practices to follow before listing and before initiating the shipment etc.

For ex: How do professional dealers not worry about getting a fake watch sent in place of an original. Do they have any ways as sellers to protect themselves?

If you’re overly concerned I would work with a trusted dealer and sell directly to them. They provide labels and wire same day after inspection.

Bezel acts as escrow and middle man when you sell on the platform. I just listed a watch there. Higher fees than chrono but feels safer

All the platforms seem to talk about buyer protection but none of them talk about seller protection.

What if I sell something and the buyer swaps it with a fake and forces a return?

That is why I am curious how professional dealers even allow the exchange of watches when certain buyers may adopt such tactics.

At the end of the day, I just want to be able to get a good price for my watches and have peace of mind.

Or be a Pledged Member and list here, just know " Your Buyer ". This rule applies to all platforms. As for good price and peace in mind , they may not come together in one package.

Do not do this. You’ll get hoodwinked; buyer going to claim he got an empty box. Do what I do: talk with a few of the trusted sellers and go with the highest price.
