Noodling

Every time I go catfish noodlin I get this cat slime all over my Sub.
I am a pertty good nOOdler and think one of the reasons is the
cats are attracted to the Sub. So, I don't think leaving it in the truck
is the answer.
Household soaps don't work good at getting the slime off,
and gasoline probably would hurt the watch.
Maybe you have the same problem.
Any suggestions?

Try "Simple Green" none toxic and cleans just about anything.

As to noodlin, please try and remember this is a family forum

One has to wonder who thought about shoving their hand up a hole and letting a fish bite you.

Noodle slime on your Submarine(r) while fishing for cats just comes with the territory. Watch out for those Snapping Turtles though.

The catfish-noodling slime is no problem. Believe it or not, it lubricates the bracelet links on the sub, increasing its life dramatically. And, I believe it's a cleaning agent on the surface as well, as long as there are no polished links.

Good post, this is like fun facts to know and tell!

A snapper can take a finger off pretty easily. A big one (100+ lbs) could probably mangle your hand in a really bad way.

Native Americans are generally credited - there is a great documentary on PBS called Okie Noodling. If you have Tivo or your cable box will let you search, check it out - it is very interesting.

You must be very careful while Noodlin for Cats in relation to which appendages are exposed.
You could easily lose something more important than a sub.

It sure sounds like noodlin is performed by men who have partaken in copious amounts of alcohol first!!!
