What are the most highly recommended dealers of Rolex vintage in the US?

I’d appreciate your thoughts.

I am familiar with Jacek and HQM and have purchased from both.

Other great vintage dealers you trust?

Can personally vouch for the following, they are all phenomenal!

- Jacek @ Tropical Watch
- Eric @ Wind Vintage
- Adam @ Menta Watches
- Kirill @ Lunar Oyster

I have had good experiences with Tim @ Fog City and Adam @ Menta

Jacek has a great site and lots of inventory - prices a little higher and generous descriptions. I would still buy but be sure you know what you are looking at. I prefer how Tim and Adam shoot it straight.

Have bought from Jacek and Kirill also, and would recommend them too.

Thanks for asking. Been lurking and looking for years for 5513 or 1680 white. B& P. Adding to a few semi vintage pieces of 16700 1601 and 16013.

I have not had a 1680 but I love my 5513. How important are B&P? Lots of great deals out there but not many with papers. I care more about condition on vintage than papers personally.

Back in the 80s b and p added about 5-10% - now it's as much as 35% which is bonkers.

Personally I'd buy on watches originality first, and condition second...b/p about 4th or 5th concern (and usually an overpriced one) .

I've never paid more than 15-20% for b and p premium.... and if you (and us here) know what your looking at it's not that important is it as it's mainly a vouchsafe measure for the uninitiated, is it not.

Finally, worth pointing out that even punched papers can be forged ..a 'counterfeit to order' crew in Germany were doing just that and in more than a cottage industry setting, and were arrested about 5-6 yrs ago for their troubles !
