Do wind you Rolex ?

Some do that's a fact but.
I have a newer model of the GMT stainless/gold and have worn it a few years never needed winding .Well one day it stopped.
Dumb me sent it to Rolex service center in Dallas They did a complete over haul.
Fast forward a few years and it stopped I send it to Rolex this time through an Authorized dealer and Rolex says it needs a complete over haul and I agree.
Today its doing the same thing it stops but when wound manually it runs perfect.
So wind the watch ?

The service interval is 5 years, on newer GMTs it's 10 years. Not sure why it would keep needing an overhaul but sounds like you might be getting your leg lifted.

Before wearing any Rolex watch if it's stopped give it a full manual wind that's at least 40 full crown turns clockwise only. And just wearing a watch don't wind the watch it's wrist movement and activity that's winds the watch.

Pretty expensive and time-consuming way to wind your watch.

Exactly how old is your watch and what are the timeframes for the two overhauls.
You should be getting at least five years between full services and likely a lot more.

This is a very confusing question.

You can can wind a modern Rolex as much as you want and nothing bad will happen...

What do you mean it stopped? Did you not wear it and the power reserve ran out???? If so then you just wind the watch and it will work again.

OR do you mean it stopped running, power reserve went out, you tried winding it and it didn't work???

Wind your watch each time before wearing.

I have spoken. This is the way.

You and your wallet can thank me later.

No no no, it's obviously the very definition of the ultimate "flex". Watch stops. Wind it myself??? Hell no! And I'm not going to let just any old person wind it. They need to be Rolex trained to be able to wind my watch. RSC all the way.

Out of curiosity what do you do when your car runs out of gas?

Wind 40 times and wear! Much simpler approach.

When I don't wear it, my BLRO needs a service every 72 hours.

I think it's worth it.
