thinking about another Rolex, Am I crazy?

Less than 1 week after I got my dj36, I am thinking to get another one. Am I crazy?
I have a omega planet ocean, and I want that kind of style again. But the reason I am not actively wearing it is that it's too bulky and not fitting on my wrist.
I browsed Rolex catalog and only that kind of style watch with less than 40mm bezel size is yacht-master 37mm. Is there anything I am missing? I am trying to avoid anything that is bigger than 40mm these days.

I would visit your AD and try some exhibition pieces before making that kind of decision.

You haven’t said what your wrist size is but FWIW there is an Explorer 36 and OP 36 and perhaps others, but you can’t beat trying on different watches to see.

Not crazy, because I will be even more if that’s a case.

Got lucky when I walked in to my my AD recently, and purchased two SS Pieces. I got my third one a few days ago.

Reading up in here is not really good for anyone’s wallet :)

Rolex's are rarely the size they advertise.
Most are smaller.

Many different PO sizes and styles. I do find with the last decade of POs many men in particular buy the larger ones when the 36-38mm is more than fine on smaller wrists. As for the urge to buy more Rolexeseses , smarten up. You always buy Rolexeseses when offered the opportunity!!!

my wrist size is very girly about 15.5cm or 6.1"
That's why dj36 suits me so well.

My build is also on the skinny side (about 6 foot tall but only about 150 lbs), I didn't know what I was thinking when I got that Omega PO which is about 42mm bezel size.

So I am going to amend that by getting a yacht-master which has similar style as Omega PO but on the smaller side.

I guess I am going to my AD next week to try it on, either 37 or 40mm.

You’re not crazy. More than once I have purchased either two watches at once or a second within a week. It’s incredibly fun to bounce between two new watches and also one watch often informs one’s decision on the other. If you can swing it, go for it.

Hi, I have the same size wrist as you and found the 37YM too small when I tried it on.I ended up with the YM40.
Due to the bezel it wears much smaller. It’s actually the most comfortable Rolex I own due to the case shape and the way the lugs turn down.

I was at my AD on Friday and they had a Yacht Master 37mm in stock and available for sale. I wasn't in the market, but the YM was a very nice looking watch. I have a 6.5" wrist and the YM was a good fit. It may be the right watch for you. Good luck.

Not crazy, but collecting is typically most enjoyable when you take your time a little bit and develop your knowledge through research in between. Just my experience anyway!

Crazy? Not really but perhaps just put more wrist time on that dj36 before buying another one.

The YM is a great watch. I have the RG on Oysterflex 37mm and previously owned the 40mm Slate dial. I regret selling that watch. I may pick one up again in the future. The 37mm should be easier to obtain than the 40

A Rolex isn't a bad place to park some money, financially speaking.

Be sure to try on both the 37 and 40 YM to be sure. I have a DJ 36 and DJ 41. With my wrist size I can wear both but prefer the 36 both in appearance and comfort. I recently purchased a YM 40 on oyster and it wears noticeably smaller than the DJ 41 (which by accounts is only around 39.5 in actual measurement). The YM wears between the DJ 36 and 41 in my experience. Also, it is extremely comfortable. So try both sizes before buying!

My wrist is about 6.3 inches. Depending on how flat your wrist is the 41mm Submariner would be fine.

YM37 is too small and has weird proportions. it wears smaller than a dj36. make sure to try that one on in person, don't go blindly buying one

A pre-ceramic Sub would nicely fit what you’re looking for.

Consider some of the smaller Tudor dive watches as well!!! Great value and a bit smaller than the Rolex divers. At 6.5in, I considered smaller Rolex models but have done fine with the 40 to 41mm ones. Glad it worked out as smaller also created a smaller niche for potential trades later. Also note that the sizes indicated by Rolex aren't necessarily the measured dimensions.
