Dealer Customer Service

I've recently been fortunate enough to purchase a new Submariner, which is my first Rolex.

I emailed the dealer afterwards to thank them for a great experience and got no response. I also emailed through their contact page and got an automated response, but no response from a human.

I'm not sure if I should call them and ask if they are ignoring me, or is this standard operating procedure for Rolex dealers? Is there some additional grovelling or something I should have done? :-)

The most important part is you got your desired watch. Email was sent, although not necessary. Time to move forward.

Perhaps the old fashioned way of stopping by or making a phone call would be appropriate.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations

If you picked the watch up at your AD, you would’ve thanked your SA I assume …

I was always taught that it is nicer to write a thank you note.

The dealer is some way from me, so unfortunately I can't just pop in.

I’d address the thank you note to the SA you dealt with.

A handwritten card, mailed old school.

He/she will appreciate and remember that far more than an email

The store may receive too large a volume of mail through these portals to answer. Your in-person thanks at POS should have been enough. I would drop by soon to the store wearing the watch and again express some kind words and thanks.

Stop in. Say hello. Wear watch.

Write thank you card. Address to SA. Send or drop off.

why do you have to kiss dealer's ass after spending ten of thousands dollars there? I really don't get it.

Agreed and verified from personal experience.

My AD is a small/medium shop. They get tons of emails a day. One email is a needle in a haystack. If you want to reinforce your gratitude for some reason, the personal approach is the way to go.

Something I learned at business school and that I still use professionally and personally to this day.

Could be they get a large amount of emails for Rolex and it may have been missed. I would leave them a nice google review and bet you will get a response saying thank you from that.
