What's more popular: the Black or White Explorer II

So I'm thinking about picking up an Explorer II to use as my everyday watch (as some at work have told me my GMT-IIc is a little flashy) and I'm just wondering which Explorer II is more popular: White or Black? Are there any plans, or rumors, to update the Explorer II anytime soon? Thanks!

It's all a matter of personal preference and choice. Either way you can't go wrong!!!

Since you have the II-c, a white dial would be good.

To me, the black Expy II is the best looking Rolex there is. I was really close to buying one, but chose to get the Sub instead. Not sure that was the best decision...

I can't imagine the GMT-IIC is too flashy for work . . . unless you work in a sensory deprivation tank.

Lol, I know! But one of the junior partners at my firm commented that "it must be nice having a Rolex at your age." Then he informed me that the other associates were wondering if it was a fake! So maybe it's drawing too much attention at work...

I recently added an Explorer II to my collection although it was more to do with travelling and working in places were it was best to have a less "flashy" watch than the excellent GMTII-C. I picked the white dial as a change to the black of my GMTII-C but I think that both options look good although I have only ever seen two other Explorer IIs in the "wild" both of which were the white dial versions.

The question should not be: "whats more popular?" It should yourself deciding which is best for yourself.
I have a white Explorer II and as black watch a SDDS. This doen´t make it any easier decision which one to wear.

Cheers,

Black (just) ...but I would persevere with the GMT IIc. They'll soon get over it. PCLs and a ceramic bezel insert don't make for 'bling' or 'flash' imho. We're not talking about gems or precious metals.

Cheers

I voted black since I bought one myself. I've seen more blacks on the NYC subway than white ... I only remembering seeing the white version once.

If you live in Asia, better you go for black than white.
But if you live in Europe or US go for white, more classic.

I have both - started with the white but coveted evey black dial one I saw, so bought one. On the basis that you already have the GM the white would be a good contrast.

They are both beautiful, but I think I would go with white since there are so many other black dial sport models out there. Just something a little different.
