Since the product is the same across go with whoever has the cheaper premium and good reputation. JM, Apmex, Hero.. all gtg. Check out Apmex's walmart store, orders fufilled by apmex, but often lower prices. Walmart card gets you 5% cash back and no sales tax. Often local shops have better prices than online on the inventory they purchased from local sellers, but YMMV. |

+1 for find bullion prices... it's updated daily.
Also, most of the dealers have a 'deals' page... shop there. The key to successful stacking is a low cost basis because you are getting reamed with a margin on the Frontline and backside... Apmex SD bullion Jm bullion Provident Scottsdale mint Silver gold bullion Of course, the answer is Bitcoin. |

You're still paying over spot, so the savings is the difference in premium. I would think that premium discount is not worth the risk, but I have no idea just my initial thought. What do you think? |

I have a few dealers i frequent. You're only saving on premiums, but with current premiums it adds up quick. My LCS is spot + 5 on silver rounds. The FB group is spot +2, most everyone beats Apmex, JMBullion, etc. There are even some refiners that post there. Every group is pretty well vetted with good Mod teams. Pretty sure you can get silver shot for close to melt now. I haven't had any problems purchasing through there and can't say enough good things about the community. I only use FB for business myself, and it's a great tool. Hell, I bought a DJ from Canada last week thsts arriving tomorrow. Worst case scenario I get stuck filing with my CC for fraud if I get scammed. I love the internet. I've never gotten scammed or fakes online, I have been sold fakes through LCS though. |

I’ve bought from Apmex, Provident, and JM Bullion. All with similar (good) experiences.
I’ve only sold to JM Bullion, had no problems. They even provide a label with insurance at a reasonable cost. Sometimes Fleabay has the best deals on gold, often from sellers like Apmex and other known dealers. |

Thank you everyone.
The government auction sounds like fun but my impulsive side could get me in trouble. I do not know what " Cash and carry. Literally" means. |

Find a reputable local dealer, pay cash, carry away your metals. Reporting rules are specific, follow them to your advantage.

I buy fractional gold quite a bit.
There's a jewelry store I go to about once a month over the last couple years. I'll pick up between 10g and 50g Pamp bars. They're always within a few dollars (- or +) of the online retailers. I got into collecting Saudi gold trade coins from the 1950's. Im not a coin collector, but I like this one and I want to fill a sleeve of 20 of them. Im currently at 14 and I've bought every one of them through eBay with solid results. I bought three from APMEX that were represented as authentic, but when they arrived all of them were re-strikes. APMEX made it right and refunded a portion of my transaction within a couple days after I send pics and explained the difference. Terrible way to do business, I'm sure some people wouldn't know any better, but I'd buy bullion from them again based on how they resolved the situation. I watch a few precious metal resellers on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube, but I wouldn't buy from them. Too easy to get scammed, and their prices usually have a high premium because they've hyped-up whatever it is they have in stock. I bought a Sigma Pro Mini in 2020. It's a great way to check to make sure what you're buying is what you're getting. |

I find Monument Metals has the lowest premiums for sovereigns (which I prefer) on their deals page- with Austrian Philharmonics, Canadian Maples, SA Krugeraands, and some other government minted coins usually in the rotation.
The Walmart buffalo silver via APMEX is definitely the lowest premium and fastest shipped coin if you just want the weight- a solid deal and as others have mentioned, but I do not like Walmart for anything. Plus, I am sure they keep/sell all your data, ehich does not sit well with some. Local coin shops will usually have the highest premium, but you get the anonymity factor if you just want to pay cash and walk out with your product, no paper trail attached. |
