If you've owned the same model Rolex twice, post details here...

I'm not sure what's wrong with me...but here is my list (only the ones I've owned twice):

SS GMT Master (1675) - 2 times
Polar Explorer II - 3 times
SS Submariner - 2 times
SS GMT Master II - 2 times
SS GMT IIc - 2 times already!

Why can I NEVER be satisfied with what I have?

Well I admit I'm part of this 'club'!

SS/WG DJ (2 times) - still have
TT YM white (2 times) - still have (with a few doubts)

As crazy as it sounds, I'm one of those who DOES feel that you can only really know whether a watch is a keeper by wearing it in the rotation for a while. Tough one to explain to my hubby though!

Trying them out is how I experiment and know what I can and can't live with.

I am also guilty of this -

SS DJ with a stick dial, late 80's, then 2 16200's (both Romans with Jubilee bracelets).

I finally got it right by buying the new 116200 DJ with a smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet.

LV - three times a charm. Flipped the first two a few years ago when they were harder to get, and bought back in recently now that deals can be had.
This time I'm keeping it!

Traded in my SD about 2 months ago and just found it again from a TRF'r here on the forum. Steve (oldrolex) was so kind to help get it back to me as I regretted trading it... As someone mentioned in another thread I posted this on, it was amazing! I will not let it go again! So I am on the 2nd time on the same SD.

Way too many times:

TT Datejust: 3 times (2 Ivory Pyramid, 1 Champagne)
SS Datejust: 2 times (Both White Roman - 1 engine turned, 1 WG Bezel)
SS GMT: 4 times (GMT, GMTII, Pepsi, Coke)
SS Sub: 4 times (2 LV)
Day-Date: 1 time

I guess that makes me a full-fledged WIS

I screwed up and purchased an Expy II Black Face first when I should have got the Sub-Date. I already have my eye on an Expy II white face that will be my second purchase. I have not owned one twice, but would have if given the opportunity so I do concur.

Wow JJ! Amazing purchase history!

Which one is your overall favorite other than the unlucky TT Blue you recently had?

GMT Master TT 1981-2004
Blue Sub TT 2004
GMT Master TT 2007
18K GMT Master 2007-2009

Currently no Rolexes, just repeat purchases of both the Omega 45.5 PO and the Breitling Super Avenger. I'm back in a 'BIG WATCH' phase. My guess is that my next Rolex will be another two tone Submariner after they've been out a while and I get to see one or two in person. Almost bought one, sight unseen, this week. But I'm not sure about the blue color of the ceramic. Might be a bit Smurf for me.

I have owned multiple subs and GMT's over the years. I will probably buy another sub sometime down the road.
