Perhaps start a new thread with stolen Rolex, model and serial number in the title with all your contact info in the body.
You have reported it. I would also report it to Rolex in case it shows up for service, assuming they keep and check such records.

Since you are not sure how it was done...then maybe it was just misplaced.

Good advice - and yes, Rolex does keep a global database of stolen watches by serial number. The RSCs check any watch submitted for service.

I am not sure if the authorized AD service centers have access to the database on the Rolex Intranet.

Repeat the serial #8039915 of your stolen Rolex DateJust 16108 in multiple posts so it has a better chance to appear in potential Google searches. Best wishes in the recovery of your DJ.

Sorry to hear OP.

As the others have suggested, report it to Rolex as well and start another stolen thread here about your stolen 1978 Rolex Datejust with serial number 8039915. Google will eventually lead searchers here to the stolen thread when one types that serial number into a Google search.

I hope you get it back…that sounds like a piece with a ton of sentimental value (aside from its obvious market value).

8039915 stolen Rolex DateJust 16018

Gents we are posting the model number differently than the OP. 16018 vs 16108.

This approach actually helped a neighborhood woman recover her jewelry from a burglary a few years ago.
She got to the pawn shop before the cops

OP, did they take anything else out of your fanny pack? How did they know it was in your fanny pack? How did they get access to your fanny pack? Why was your Rolex in your fanny pack and not on your wrist?

This is why all the troll “is it safe” threads are pretty unfunny and repetitive and should be locked ASAP.

Watch theft is real.

Watch theft is real.
So it isn’t safe to wear a Rolex anywhere? Or carry one in a fanny pack?

The overarching point being that apparently it isn’t safe to purchase and own a Rolex. Or any luxury item.

Everyone please stop buying them. That will leave more for me at the AD’s.

Did I say that?

Or did I say there is a genuine concern for some people?

Watch theft is real.

Apparently not safe to wear Rolex In Fanny pack in vt. Seems like this should be stated, not locked or or censored. So people can be aware. I once posted an is it safe picture of a crab on my Rolex — now that is useless because I was joking as were others.

Are fanny packs usually worn to the front or rear? If the latter I would think a pickpocket could easily open the zip in a crowded place and take anything of value such as a wallet, phone, camera and so on.
