New Seiko Astron

Just picked up a Seiko Astron for a nice discount! It’s amazingly light as the case and bracelet are titanium. With solar, dual time zone, GPS, and a perpetual calendar, it’s a great grab and go watch.

While the finishing isn’t quite GS, it’s pretty darn close. The tapered bracelet and adjustable clasp are fantastic. Super comfortable on wrist.

In love the feel of titanium watches. Titanium feels warmer than steel and less harsh on the wrist. Great do everything watch and you can’t beat the value of a Seiko. Congratulations!!!

Thanks! It's amazing how little the watch weighs when you first pick it up! Since it's so light weight, it's very comfortable on wrist. I'm finding that as I get older, I really appreciate the accuracy and ease of owning quartz watches. I also have a GS quartz GMT, Bulova Lunar Pilot ultra high frequency quartz, and a Seiko solar Speedtimer quartz. I just love that they ready to go when I am.

Still love my mechanicals and autos, though!

Congratulations. There's a good bit of horological heritage in the Astron name

I tried on the (nearly) identical watch and really liked it. Looks great, perfect size, really like the dual time function as well as the GPS timing and solar power. The intergrated bracelet looks great too. Excellent watch all-around. It's a little pricey, but I may pick one up secondhand eventually.

I was able to get a good discount on mine and agree that full retail is a bit pricey.

I got to see this watch at a Seiko Event at my AD last week. I have been back once looking at it. Still trying to decide.
