Oyster Bracelet Squeaking
Hello all, I am new here as I have just acquired my first Rolex, a SS Daytona. I love the watch, but am not impressed with the squeaking noises coming from the oyster bracelet. I have narrowed down the noise to the second link coming off of the 12 side. This is not a removable link, so I was wondering what the experts recommend to stop this noise that is quickly becoming unbearable. Thanks.

Maybe you just have to break it in...

The noise comes from two places, the clasp and the end links, nothing can be done except maybe a cleaning may help.

Wash it with some liquid hand soap and warm water and it should be fine.......

my SS Daytona did the same thing. i got it before it ever came out of the box. i do wash it with plain/clear liquid soap and after a couple of weeks it went away. however, i let my AD steam clean the bracelet and it squeaked again for a week or so - i guess that steam cleaning really works!

My Deepsea and my GMT before that both did the same thing. Give it time to break in and also give it a good rinse with liquid soap and some warm water and that will help. The funny thing is that a week or two from now you'll realize that it hasn't been squeaking for days.
