Incoming SD4K and now dilemma

Sea Dweller was on my radar since a very long time and one of my most fun chase across the globe spanning few years. Like most enthusiast I was looking for a mint example, unpolished and a full set.

Well finally all my check boxes got ticked and over and above found a NOS Unworn never sized time capsule from 2014 :)

Now the 1st world dilemma , should I really peal off the stickers ? Logic says throw it in the safe where as heart says peal them off enjoy this beauty asap!

Im quite sure of what I will be doing but just for a discussion what would you do in this awesome situation.

Congratulations.
It's a very nice watch indeed
If i wanted it that badly, I would be peeling the stickers off it and wearing it to my hearts content.
As recent events have shown.
Life can be short.

For the record, the reference dates to considerably later than 2004
I nearly bought one myself but I already had the DSSD.
Enjoy

Congratulations. Now return the time capsule because that’s not a 2004.

Oh, and wear it. SDs do better beaten up and used with paperwork than unused. But even then you should have used the money for an already vintage 1665 as an investment.

Thanks all , yep typo corrected the card is 2014 indeed. Stickers are factory and on top of it the dealer put a cling film wrap which is normal during shipping I had inspected it well and Im sure since 2014 it would stayed in many different safes.

Congrats! Wear and enjoy it!

I bought my SD4K new from an AD when it first came out. Years later, like a big dummy, I sold it. The grey dealer I sold it to, who I know pretty well, asked me a few times before I parted with it if I was sure I wanted to go through with the sale. He knew (and told me while I sat across from him in his store) I would regret it. Alas, selling that watch is one of my bigger watch-journey regrets.

I had to right the wrong. Like you, just about 2 years ago, I found a time capsule and bought the SD4K back, thanks to another trusted seller here. I peeled off the stickers, and now I wear and enjoy it.

Congrats again!

Why spend a bunch of money on a watch that's going to spend its time in a safe, and not on your wrist? Crazy.

In my opinion that would be highly ILLOGICAL.

My thoughts exactly. Chasing something you really want just to “throw it in the safe” makes ZERO sense to me. But each to their own I guess.

Either way, it’s a great piece and it’s the only watch I regret not buying when I tried one on at an AD many years ago.

You give the watch life by wearing it, and it gives you joy by being a trusted companion.

Otherwise, it's just cold, surgical steel shaped in a forge, wrapped in plastic, mass marketed, wasted resources.

If you don’t wear it isnt that like having a hot gf and not, um, you know. It’s nice to have but you’d be missing the “experience.”

Very nice, I am a Sea Dweller fan, if that was mine it would be going straight on my wrist with those protective films flying in all directions!!
