Greenwich Mean Time
Sorry guys if this a really old chestnut, but.....
What's the news, if any, on Rolex's intentions on puting the 'proper' colour scheme onto the "GMTIIc." I mean, that GREEN hand, it's so......well un-GMT ish! And,Why DIDN'T they call it the GMT-III? Makes more sense to me. It doesen't say GMT Master IIc on the face after all. Does it? Mean time we see pink tiger, diamond encrusted orange strapped monstrosities, masquerading as brear Rolex. I'm all for choice but well, honestly!! Some of 'em are absolutely appalling. IMVHO Just which demographic group exactly are they targeting....... "Man" Peace & love to all. Reg. |

I too think GMT III would be a better name, after all the IIc does set different right?

Nope, exactly the same as the GMT II. There isn't a huge amount of difference mechanically between the cal. 3185 and 3186 - they've just added the Parachrom blue hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. In effect, the new cal. number just represents all components being in house

I'm totally with you about the green hand, although it does look nice on the TT and gold models. I think the new GMT II is different enough cosmetically to have had a new name.
