Submariner Gold without polished center links?
Would there be a market for a Gold Submariner Date without the polished center links? I think it would tone down the watch enough to wear it every day. Any thoughts?

I’m no fan of the PCL’s
They grab far too much attention My OCD goes into overdrive with the inevitable scratches |

I find the regular Subs rather boring so I bought a PM one with PCL’s to spice it up a little.

Scratches and PCLs go hand in hand no matter what the metal. To enjoy one must learn to ignore them. Most are only really visible in bright sunlight light anyway and tend to love the clasp.

This is why I daily my Speedmaster during my work week and save my Rolex (in all its shiny glory) for my days off. Plus it makes my weekends feel more special when I get to pull my JC out of the safe and slap it on. Puts me in “weekend mode” in the best way. |

You don't like the PCL have someone brush finish them
I know people who have had it done. It's your watch, do whatever you want with it.

Buy the watch and you can get just about anything done to the case/bracelet. But realize you will be customizing it and that will affect its value/desirability. I’m pretty sure Rolex has considered all computations/permutations. If you customize your watch, don’t do it in hopes of increasing resale value.

Does anyone have any pictures of BCLs on a two-tone watch with oyster bracelet?

If the question is whether the public would buy or prefer a brushed bracelet on a gold Sub, I believe “yes”.
I also believe it would need to be part of a “statement”. That is, treating the entire Sub (midcase, bezel, crown, caseback, bracelet, clasp, and even dial) to a matte gold finish. Perhaps some hitherto unused finishing technique in watches. Laser ablation for instance. But with some unique finish - like the finish on some coins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I don’t know if I am in the majority or minority or whatever, but I like PCLs in general. I think they look good on my (WG) sub, and I enjoyed them on other watches I had them, like the datejust. I do understand they might not look appropriate on a SS “work” watch like a sub, but then again, why not?
