Code 11.59 owner? Feedback
Does anyone own code 11.59 (Green or blue) dial? How do you like to compare to RO (15500/15510)? Code 11.59 is starting to grow on me. Thanks for your feedbacks!

Don’t own but live near AP Geneva and routinely go talk to the team and try watches while getting bracelets adjusted / swapped.
CODE 11:59 must be tried to see if you like it or not. I hated it online and found much better IRL, but never bought it for multiple reasons. One of them is that it’s just too big and too thick. I can understand why the chrono is large (too large IMO, any chronograph thicker than a Daytona is too thick in my opinion). The three hands, well the new version with lume is much better, but I actually don’t like the curves of the lugs. For those who want an interesting case, I suggest 5226G instead. |

I own the 15210ST in green. I agree that it does grow on you especially after seeing it in person.
I also own a 15500ST in blue and a 15510BC. They are completely different watches in terms of how they look and feel. I wear the Code when I need something more casual. It's a bit more comfortable to wear and very light weight. The Code is slightly thicker and wears bigger than a 41mm RO, but for my wrists, this is not a bad thing. It is worth noting that it is nowhere near as unwieldy or heavy as a Royal Oak Offshore. The RO is a scratch magnet and the Code doesn't scratch easily. This is most likely because the sapphire crystal covers the majority of the exposed area on the Code and the metal sides are a bit recessed. My opinion, if you are offered a 15510 or a Code, and don't already own a RO, get the RO. It's iconic and not something you pass on. The Code, however, is a great watch and I wouldn't hesitate to get one. If the choice was between a normal Offshore or a Code, I would personally take the Code. ![]() ![]() |

Comparing it to my 15510, here are some of the Pros and Cons : Pros : - Subtle (it has now become one of my favourites in my daily rotation) - Light to wear - Not a scratch magnet like the RO - Essentially the same calibre 4302 as RO in a rounded shape case on a strap - Stamped dial is lovely especially in the light Cons : - Wears a little larger than the 15510 due to the lug shape - Strap size is a bit weird. Small strap is a little too small, and standard strap is too large. Strangely the Offshore 43mm standard straps fit me perfectly - Time runs really fast on my Code. Was initially 15-20 seconds a day and AP took it back and adjusted it now it's 7-10 seconds per day. In comparison the 15510 does 5-7 seconds a day faster. - No steel deployant included. They also haven't released it and it is expected to cost around 600-800USD. - No screw down crown Overall, I was choosing between this and an Offshore and I picked this because the Offshore didn't really have a 3 hander other than the Diver which isn't really my thing (couldn't get the music edition as a first piece). For the price point, I think it is really lovely as the case is probably harder to make than ROs or Offshores. I also love it as a dress down casual piece that I can wear around without people noticing it. IMO the blue looks best as a 3 hander and the chrono looks best in green. I don't like the Taupe but if the Taupe is your thing, they are ceramic in the centre! ![]() ![]() |

Thank you both for your input!! I do own RO/ROC and trying to diversify my collection which Code 11.59 caught my attention and its growing on me. Have not seen "incoming tread with Code 11.59" as allocation?? Now the question is blue vs. green. I know you can't go wrong with blue but green (15510, I've own is more like black). |

Can’t go wrong with either! The blue has a grey chapter ring while the green is green! Apparently the blue is bleu nuit nuage 50. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

originally I got in touch with AP house to look at the steel ones but when I was shown this
https://www.audemarspiguet.com/com/e...A002KB.01.html my heart ruled my wallet and got me to spend the extra, it's my 50th birthday soon so I justified it as a present to myself for that. Very happy with it and as a first AP it will hopefully be first of a few. |

I own a rose gold 11.59 -- the "purple" dial (which in most settings looks black). I really love the watch and have become a big fan of the Code. I did not like the Code series when I first saw them in photos, but in person, to me, they leave an entirely different and favorable impression.
Code vs. RO? Just too different to compare meaningfully. |

![]() Love my blue chrono. I wear it more than my blue 15510. It’s far more low key and garners less attention…which is what I’m looking for in areas like SF, LA, and NYC where I spend the most time. Only bad thing is it’s hard to wear right now in the summer bc I sweat a lot, but that’s a different topic. I think blue looks much nicer than the green |

As of recent I've been warming up to the code as well. This thread isn't helping.

I couldn't agree more with all of the praise here for the blue steel Codes.
I got my Bleu Nuit steel Code Chrono as my first AP some months ago, and it has taken quite a lot of wrist time away from my Overseas Dual Time. I personally see this as one of the most beautiful chronographs out there in 2023. I'd pick it over pretty much any Daytona (maybe with the exception of the platinum ice blue), and I even prefer it over the Patek 5172, which I've tried on but consider it to be a bit too conservative for my taste. (OK, talking about more conservative looks, I wouldn't complain about a grey dial Datograph Perpetual at some point....) Unfortunately I'm too stupid to upload any pics to this forum. But I can assure you it looks amazing IRL. So much depth and so many fascinating details (including the stamped guilloché dial). And the woven rubber strap just makes it so much more versatile. You can wear it with everything from very formal look to T-shirts and it never looks out of place. I'm willing to bet that the steel iteration of the Code 11.59 will be seen in hindsight as the moment where the collection really took off (not that I ever plan to sell this beauty). And did I mention how sexy the flyback column wheel caliber 4401 is? It doesn't have Lange or Dufour-level finishing, but it is truly satisfying to look at and to see the pushers in action. So back to the OP: if you like chronographs and you can stretch your budget a little bit, I think you should consider this over the 3 hander. |

After everyone's input, met with SA and asked for 15210ST (blue dial) although chrono looks awesome base on "In-N-Out" but 2 months ago I was allocated ROC 26240ST blue dial and having two blue chrono didn't make sense as i'm trying to diversify AP collection. Now its a waiting game. Wish me luck!!

Indeed. The purple Code for me was a hit back in 2020 and still gets a lot of wrist time. I was surprised to see the white dial discontinued, this was my fav from the initial release. |

People are already flipping the steel code.
Seems like EWC has got an unworn blue steel chrono for $41,500, AP is going to be pissed. Blacklist ? Sent from my SM-A515F using Tapatalk |

Glad to see so much love for the purple dial. I wasn't too keen on the Code in general until I tried it on and then I got it. It's been my favorite watch to wear since I picked it up at the beginning of this year. It's very cool how the dial looks black in most settings. Also looks great in full sunlight. Sharing a couple of photos.
