New pick up 3861 Sapphire sandwich

Just picked this up. My first Omega and wasn’t sure about owning one. Played with the idea for a while. Has a friend who has a pretty substantial relationship with an AD. He threw me a bone. Got a smoking deal.

The watch is so nice. I think I am going to retire my Sub LV and wear the Omega now. The Speedy wears like my DJ. Very smooth and petite. Not bulky like the Sub.

Nice! Looks great on you and congrats.

I had a 3861 and sold it as I was on a bit of a heater last year with my AD and got a few great calls so I had to consolidate. I would love to add it back to the collection but omega has gotten a little crazy with their price increases lately and at 8k the speedy is much less appealing to me.

I know how you feel. I was on the fence for a while. Then the price increase happened and I was pretty bummed. The AD I got this from gave me a great deal, I don’t know if it’s against forum-etiquette to say what you paid! But it was several thousand below MSRP. So I couldn’t pass it up. With that being said, after wearing it and handling it. I don’t think I would have an issue paying retail for it. I mean it’s just such an awesome watch. It’s petite but not too small feeling when I go from my Sub to the Speedy. But the band taper makes it feel smooth and gentle on my wrist. Whereas the Rolex feels like a brick when I go back and forth. Very happy!

Great watch and great choice.
I picked up a 3861 Hesalite Speedy on Nylon strap on 17th June and it’s truly a fab watch.
Enjoy every minute with it.
